Unique Filters & Custom Wavetables

The dual filter at the heart of impOSCar3 defines its unique character and quality. With multiple configurations of LP, HP, and BP in 2-pole or 4-pole, along with various parallel settings, users can create formant-like textures, phasing, and resonance effects for enhanced tonal control and expanded sonic possibilities.

The new wavetable oscillator, featuring over 150 presets, combined with the user LFO, delivers immense tonal and modulation power. Design and save custom wavetables or draw partials in an additive style. Wavetable switching allows for easy exploration of new tones within a patch while retaining the core characteristics of the original sound.

A Trailblazing Hybrid Synthesizer

The original OSCar® was a groundbreaking synthesizer from the UK in the early 1980s, renowned for integrating digital and analog technologies. Equipped with digital oscillators, it generated standard analog waveforms and up to 24 user-defined digital waveforms, offering a vast sound palette.

The dual filter, featuring both high-pass and low-pass filters, allowed for intricate sound sculpting. Its iconic yellow membrane panel set it apart visually and underscored its distinctive design. Only 2,000 units were made.
