Description

illformed Glitch 2 — PC, MAC & Linux

Get illformed Glitch 2 from VStor.me — a glitch effects sequencer with 128 MIDI-triggerable scenes per program, a multi-lane sequencer running multiple effects simultaneously, and a full randomize and mutate system for generating unpredictable results on demand.

Glitch 2 works differently from standard effect plugins. You build a sequencer pattern of effect blocks across multiple lanes, and Glitch fires those effects at their programmed positions in sync with your DAW. Each scene can have its own unique pattern and effect settings, and any scene can be triggered from a MIDI note, making it practical for both programmed arrangements and live performance.

Sequencer

  • 128 scenes per program — each with its own sequencer pattern, timing, and effect settings
  • MIDI note triggering — assign any scene to any MIDI note for live performance or programmed transitions
  • Multi-lane sequencer — multiple effects active simultaneously for layered glitch textures
  • Intuitive pattern editor — draw, erase, resize, split and join blocks with drag-and-drop
  • Improved timing controls for precise musical sync to groove and song structure

Effects

14 tempo-synced effect modules covering stuttering, retrigger, stretching, reversing, filtering, and more. Each module includes filter, mix, pan, and volume controls for shaping individual effect output.

illformed Glitch 2 — Randomize & Mutate

Randomize and Mutate functions are available at every level — mutate a single effect parameter for subtle variation, or randomize an entire scene for completely unexpected results. Available for both controlled experimentation and chaotic inspiration.

Compatibility

Windows: VST 32-bit and 64-bit.
Mac: VST and AU.
Linux: VST.
Works in FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, Reaper, Studio One, and all major DAWs accepting VST or AU.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Glitch 2 differ from Sugar Bytes Effectrix?

Both are grid-based effects sequencers, but Glitch 2 places more emphasis on scene management — 128 uniquely programmable scenes per program, each triggerable via MIDI. Glitch 2 also has a stronger focus on random and mutate functions that generate unexpected results. Effectrix 2 stores 12 sequences per preset and has a tighter integration with its Tonal Delay and modulation system.

Can Glitch 2 be used for live performance?

Yes. Each of the 128 scenes can be triggered from a MIDI note in real time, which makes it practical for live switching between completely different effect patterns during a performance without stopping playback.

Does Glitch 2 work on Linux?

Yes. Glitch 2 supports VST format on Linux in addition to Windows (VST 32/64-bit) and Mac (VST and AU), making it one of the few creative effect plugins with confirmed Linux support.

What does the Mutate function do?

Mutate applies slight random variations to a single effect’s parameters while keeping the overall scene structure intact. This is useful for getting slightly different versions of an effect without fully randomizing the pattern. The full Randomize function generates entirely new random effect configurations across an entire scene at once.
