The Modwave Native VST is a software counterpart to the hardware Modwave synthesizer by Korg. It is a fully-compatible plugin version that offers the same rich feature set as the hardware version . The Modwave, released in 2021, is an all-digital synthesizer that builds on the legacy of the DW-8000 and features deep wavetable oscillators, filters, flexible modulation options, effects, and pattern sequencing . The Modwave Native VST is available in VST3, AU, and AAX formats for both macOS and Windows . It can be used interchangeably with the hardware version, allowing seamless sound exchange between the two .
Modwave Native synthesis engine
When we call the wavetable oscillators “deep,” we are not kidding. Start with over 200 wavetables, each containing up to 64 waveforms—from thousands of individual waves. Use the 30+ Modifiers to change their basic character, and the 13 Morph Types to process them in real-time. Create new hybrids from any two wavetables using the unique, realtime A/B Blend. Quick math: that’s over 230 million wavetable variations out of the box, and that’s before you even add modulation.
